What happened on the Peninsula last week?
June 30th - July 7th
As we begin the second half of 2026, it’s a great time to look back at the first six months of the year and compare them to the same period in 2025.
Through the first half of 2026, there were 293 sales totaling $688 million in volume on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. The lowest sale was $420,000, while the highest was $10,500,000. The average sale price came in at approximately $2,350,000.
By comparison, during the first six months of 2025, there were 280 sales totaling $622 million in volume. The lowest sale was $431,000, the highest was $6,800,000, and the average sale price was approximately $2,223,000.
Year over year, the market has seen more sales, higher total volume, and a higher average sale price. While buyers remain selective, the numbers show that demand in Palos Verdes has remained strong through the first half of 2026.
Looking ahead, I’m anticipating a busier second half of the year. Over the past week alone, we’ve already seen an increase in activity, and with SpaceX stock opening up, buyer energy appears to be building. Personally, I expect 2026 to finish well ahead of 2025 in both total sales and overall volume.
