May 19th - May 25th

 

Last week felt a little slower than usual for this time of year, with only five homes going into escrow across the entire Palos Verdes Peninsula. Whether that was due to the Memorial Day weekend or simply a brief pause before summer officially gets underway, it was a noticeable dip in activity. Typically, we begin to see more momentum at this point in the season, so it will be interesting to see if activity picks back up in the coming weeks.

4703 Ferncreek Drive, Rolling Hills Estates
Offered for $4,189,000
This week’s House of the Week is a home in Rolling Hills Estates that drew quite a bit of attention. At 3,172 square feet on a 26,000 square foot lot, it was not overly large, but it sold for $4,650,000, nearly half a million dollars above its asking price. 
 
This one seemed to be less about the house itself and more about the outdoors. With a pool, spa, and lighted pickleball court, the property clearly struck a chord with buyers and created quite a demand.
