What happened on the Peninsula last week?
July 14th - July 20th
This past week saw a huge jump in activity. Buyers decided that we are half way through the summer, and it’s time to buy a house. The fact that 23 homes went into escrow on the Peninsula last week certainly confirms it. After a somewhat uneven start to the season, the market suddenly feels much more energized, with serious buyers stepping forward and well-priced homes leading the way.

This week’s House of the Week is one where you have to see it to believe it. The house was basically torn down and rebuilt a couple of years ago. It’s only about 3,100 square feet but the quality of the build, and panoramic views are on a different level. On paper, it seems like a huge asking price, yet there were multiple people expressing interest, and one lucky buyer snapped it up. It just goes to show that special homes are always in demand, and do command a premium.
