Eastview Park’s Annual Howl’oween Party
Start your Halloween morning at Eastview Park, where local pups (and their people) are gathering for one of the most beloved community traditions on the Peninsula. Bring your furry friends in costume and enjoy a few hours of festive fun, photo ops, and treats. The annual Howl-o-ween Paw-rade invites pet owners to show off their dogs’ creativity during a lighthearted parade around the park.

Riviera Village Halloween Trick-or-Treat
End your Halloween evening by heading down to Redondo Beach’s Riviera Village, where one of the South Bay’s most-loved Halloween traditions takes over the streets. Catalina Avenue closes to traffic from Avenue I to S Elena Street, turning the Village into a festive pedestrian zone filled with candy, costumes, and community spirit.
Local shops and restaurants welcome families with treats, and the entire area transforms into a lively, safe space for kids to trick-or-treat outdoors. With live music, dining options, and the ocean just steps away, it’s the perfect way to wrap up Halloween night.

The Haunted Hotel at Promenade on the Peninsula
Check in — if you dare — to The Grace Hotel, a haunted house experience unlike any other on the Peninsula. This year’s immersive attraction transforms part of the Promenade into a spooky, story-driven walk-through filled with high-tech effects, eerie characters, and plenty of unexpected surprises.
Presented by Promenade PV in collaboration with PV Net Academy for STEM, the PVPHS Drama Club, and local haunted house creator Michael Majid, this year’s theme centers on a post-war inn where guests reunite with those they’ve lost.
The event is designed to be fun for all ages, with an optional non–jump-scare version for younger visitors. Proceeds benefit Peninsula Drama and help support local students who produced and designed the experience themselves.

Magic of the Jack O’ Lanterns at South Coast Botanic Garden
This fall, Magic of the Jack O’ Lanterns brings a brand-new glow to the South Bay with its move to the South Coast Botanic Garden in Palos Verdes. Set along the Garden’s lush walking trails, the experience features over 10,000 hand-carved pumpkins, radiant light displays, and whimsical scenes that make the entire one-mile path feel enchanted.
Each turn reveals something new, from massive illuminated sculptures and themed installations to glowing tunnels and colorful displays. Families can enjoy live entertainment, food and drink stations, and even a Fun Zone with bounce pads and slides for kids.
